I wrote 'Two Time Loser' in 2004. It was originally intended to be a Country song. When Carolyn and I started laying tracks for it I heard something in the keyboard track that suggested it could go in a different direction. It ended up sounding like a Blues ballad instead thanks to my guitar. When I got Daphne Mae back a second time to lay down vocal tracks I asked her to be more intense during the verses after the first solo. I asked her to think of her idol Tina Turner and Daphne got it down pretty much straight away. The song is now a fusion of Blues and R&B with a slight nod to its original Country origins by retaining some Pedal Steel in the introduction and ending. This song is pretty unique, hard to categorize and having moments that are both fierce and beautiful. We hope you like it as much as we do.

Bruce Neilsen wrote the lyrics originally in 2004 with a completely different melody.
Bass tracks were laid down on 25 June 2022.
Keys and drums were added 28 June 2022
Pedal Steel was added 20 July 2022
The guitar introduction played against a drum background was done on 27 July 2022.(Guitar played by Bruce Neilsen)
Lead guitar lines played during the verses, choruses and first solo section were laid down by Bruce Neilsen on 28 July 2022.
Rhythm guitar was added on 5 November and 6 November 2022 by Bruce Neilsen
Daphne Mae did her initial vocal tracks on 11 November 2022.
Rhythm guitar was changed on 15 August 2023(played by Bruce Neilsen).
Daphne Mae did her final vocal tracks on 16 August 2023.
A second guitar solo was added on 30 August 2023(after Daphne's last vocal line) by Bruce Neilsen
Carolyn Neilsen produced keys, bass, pedal steel and drum tracks based on an arrangement by Bruce Neilsen. She was also responsible for all recording and mixing.
Mastering was done by Furkan Gulus on 22 September 2023
